Baguio parks closed
BAGUIO City -- Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong yesterday said as part of precautionary measures against COVID-19, the following parks will be closed temporarily for 14 days beginning today -- the Children’s Park, Dominican Hill and Heritage Park, Mines View Park, Botanical Garden.
Special permits granted to concessionaires such as boating, biking, stalls, restaurants and roaving vendors within city parks are also temporarily suspended for 14 days.
“The temporary closure aims to discourage people from roaming and instead they should stay in their homes,” Magalong said.
Baguio travellers (residents, students, employees, visitors) coming from COVID-19 affected countries, provinces and cities including Metro Manila are required to submit themselves to the mandatory health protocols.
