Bataan ‘COVID-19’ update: 81 infected, 4 deaths

BATAAN--The number of persons infected by coronavirus pandemic has reached 81 while four had died here as of Sunday afternoon.

Gov Abet S Garcia reported that based on the report of Provincial Health Office, (PHO,) “the number of our countrymen who tested positive in COVID-19 this April 19th has reached 81.”

Gov Garcia said “As of 6 p.m, a new case was recorded: a 52-year-old malefrom Orani.”

The good news is that 15, including veteran Dr Cynthia Tuazon-Guevarra, have been able to recover and now on finishing Post Discharge Quarantine.

“Thank you for your prayers,” said Dr Guevarra in a text message to this writer right after being discharged from 28 days of confinement in a hospital.

“I will continue asking for your cooperation and compliance with ECQ policy to stay in our homes and if there is an important reason to get out of the home, do social distancing.

“With our cooperation, pride, understanding and the mercy and guidance of our Lord, we will overcome this heavy trial,” the governor added.
