CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas -- Two wanted murder suspects were nabbed by joint police operatives in Purok 45, Bgy. 4, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro, Provincial police PIO chief Senior Insp. Hazel P. Luma-ang said the other day.
A report to Batangas police director Senior Supt. Edwin A. Quilates by Chief Insp. Jaime Sevilla Pederio Jr., Balayan Municipal Police Station commander, identified the suspects as Ricardo Sistona Ramos, alias Taba, 48, single, fish vendor, of Purok 45, Bgy. 4, Mamburao, and a certain Nonolito Santos Gutierrez, alias Noli.
Pederio said that on September 11, 2018 at 9 a.m. in Bgy. 4, detectives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Occidental Mindoro Provincial Field Unit, together with CIDG Marinduque, PFU, RIU 4B, PIB OMPPO, 1st Company OMPMFC, the Maritime Police Station 4B-03, the Mamburao MPS and the Balayan MPS, conducted an operation against the suspects which resulted in their arrest.
The local police chief said Ramos, listed no. 2 MWP on Lambat Sibat Phase 2 in Balayan town, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant for murder issued by Judge Crestino E. Judit, of Regional Trial Court Branch 10 of Balayan, Batangas, docketed under Criminal Case No. 6689 dated Oct. 26, 2011, with no bail recommended.
As of press time, the arrested persons were placed under the custody of the CIDG Occidental Mindoro PFU prior to their turnover to the court of origin.
