LIGAO City -- Ako-Bicol Party-list Representative Rodel Batocabe’s police escort SPO2 Orlando Diaz on Friday was finally laid to rest at a private memorial cemetery here, 20 days after he and the congressman were killed in Bgy. Burgos, Daraga, Albay on Dec. 22.
“Justice must be fully served,” said the Diaz family, as they denounced the “dirty” politics in the province.
Batocabe’s wife Juvy welcomed the arrest of six suspects who revealed the “brains” behind the assassination.
“My husband’s life was lost due to greed and ambition by one person who wants to stay in power,” Juvy said.
Diaz’ requiem mass was held at the Ligao City Cathedral.
