Bgy chairman, lover arrested in hotel

Adultery

SAN JOSE CITY – A 58-year-old barangay chairman and his 32-year-old alleged paramour on Tuesday landed in jail after they were caught inside a hotel in this city.

Arrested were village chief Librado Dulay of Zone 7, Bgy. Abar 1st, and his alleged lover, Ma. Cecilia Tubiera, of Zone 10A.

Dulay and Tubiera were both married.

Police Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno said the two were found in a room of the Kalapao Hotel on Maharlika Highway in Bgy. Caanawan.

Bruno said the arrest was made after Tubiera’s husband called up the police at 11:35 a.m. on Tuesday requesting  immediate assistance.

The complainant said he was able to read his wife’s text messages prior to the   tryst at the hotel, which prompted him to ask for police’s help to set up an entrapment.

A video footage furnished to the media showed the woman naked inside a room of the hotel, with the barangay official hiding in the bathroom.

The suspects were charged with adultery before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
