Bulacan cops gun down 2 armed drug dealers, arrest 10

BULACAN policemen on Monday and yesterday shot dead two armed drug trafficking suspects and arrested 10 others in separate buy-bust operations in the province, Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe said.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Rhodel O. Sermonia, the official said the slain suspects identified as Ronaldo Malasaga and Sherwin Cunanan were killed in a buy-bust operation which ended up in a brief shootout along Pacolis Road in Barangay Gaya-Gaya, San Jose del Monte City around 1:10 p.m. Monday.

Cajipe said the local police headed by Lieutenant Col. Gil Domingo engaged the duo in a shootout after the two sensed the ongoing sting and fired at the undercover officers while trying to escape on board a motorcycle.

Recovered from the possession of the two slain suspects were two improvised shotguns with several live ammunition, 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, the marked money and a Rusi motorcycle with plate no. 3323 VR.

Cajipe said another anti-narcotics operation in Bgy. Perez in Meycauayan City past 2 a.m. yesterday led in the arrest of six suspects identified as Donald Caisi, 30; Julius Delvo, 46; Reneboy Quiritan, 44; Rosemarie Lozano, 49; Domeng Ramirez, 24; and Alvin Fielo, 34.

Seized from the suspects were seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and the buy-bust money.

The other four suspects arrested in San Jose del Monte City were identified as Maricris Silvano, 44; John Paulo Silvano, 20; Leo Ocampo Jr., 22, and Matt Phillip Valencia, 19.

Cajipe said that, a member of the Sangguniang Kabataan and the two Silvanos, yielded dried marijuana leaves and the marked money during the sting.

On the other hand, Valencia ended up in jail after he was found in possession of a plastic sachet containing dried marijuana leaves while being questioned for violating the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Pleasan Hills, Bgy. San Manuel.
