TWELVE lawbreakers were hauled to jail by agents of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office in separate anti-crime operations on Thursday, local police director, Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe said yesterday.
One of the suspects arrested was identified as Jayson Malinao, a 35-year-old resident of Barangay Bagong Buhay II in San Jose del Monte City who is wanted for a homicide case, said the Bulacan police director in a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Rhodel O. Cajipe.
Cajipe said two others were arrested for their involvement in illegal drug activities in Norzagaray municipality. The suspects yielded four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu and the marked money paid to them by undercover officers.
Three others were arrested for illegal gambling and violation of quarantine measures specifically wearing of face masks and social distancing. Cajipe said the three were arrested while playing a card game in public in Bgy. Guyong in Sta. Maria town.
The official said two others identified as Lovely Ramos and Janred Soriano were arrested by members of the Marilao Municipal Police Station inside the SM City in Marilao while in the act of buying cell phones using a Security Bank credit card they stole from their latest victim in Valenzuela City.
Another four persons were arrested while in the act of dumping 20 sacks of waste materials in Bgy. Pulong Buhangin in Sta. Maria municipality, he said.
Cajipe identified the four as Raymond Bunyi, Kenneth Cahello, Rubin Conrad Padilla and Jerry Mestilla. He said that the four were turned over to the local police by barangay security officers who apprehended them while illegally dumping the waste materials.
The four are now facing charges for violation of RA 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act, said the Bulacan police director.
