Bus dispatcher held for gun

A 47-YEAR old bus dispatcher in Pagadian City was arrested by the local police for illegal possession of a loaded pistol inside the Pagadian City Fish Port last Sunday, Police Regional Office 9 director, Brigadier General Froilan F. Quidilla said yesterday.

Suspect Noel Aupe, a resident of Purok Adelfa, Barangay San Jose in Pagadian City was accosted by a team of local policemen at the fish post in San Pedro District at 11:50 a.m. Sunday following a call from a concerned citizen.

When accosted and frisked, the suspect yielded a chamber-loaded caliber .45 pistol with a magazine containing seven live ammunition and a holster.

The suspect is now being held at the Pagadian City Police Station lock-up facility facing criminal charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013, said Quidilla.
