Town police commander, Chief Insp. Noel Divino identified the fatalities as SFO2 Cleto Nataño, FO3 Ronald Alcala and retired SPO4 Juanito Unyiveros, all residents of Tagkawayan, Quezon.
Divino named those injured as FO3 Roderick Odi, Reynold Talain, 31, Aimee Lerum, 19, Marlex Mendegorin, 20, Dandy Severa, 21, Ariel Cris Principe, 22, and Lenon Tagulinao, 19.
He said the incident took place at 9:45 p.m. while the three fatalities and Odi were on a Mitsubishi Adventure driven by Alcala on its way to Bicol region.
Divino said a Manila-bound Daewo passenger bus tailing an overtaking bus accidentally hit the Adventure.
