Cagayan Valley cops catch top pusher

A TOP drug personality in Cagayan Valley whose name is included in the list of the Philippine National Police Directorate for Intelligence was captured by the local police in a raid in Santiago City, Isabela which led in the seizure of a cache of drugs and illegal weapons, Police Regional Office 2 director, Brigadier General Jose Mario M. Espino announced yesterday.

Suspect Joselito David alias ‘JL’ was arrested inside his house in Barangay Sagana in Santiago City which was raided by members of the PRO2 Regional Intelligence Division and the local police at 1 p.m. Friday, said the Cagayan Valley police director.

Espino said recovered inside the suspect’s house were one M-16 automatic rifle, one caliber .38 revolver, one cal. .45 semi-automatic pistol, dozens of assorted live ammunition, one hand grenade, 18 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, several teabags containing dried marijuana leaves and various drug sniffing and repacking paraphernalia. The suspect will be facing non-bailable charges for illegal possession of drugs, firearms and explosives, the PRO2 director said.
