The town of Candelaria in Zambales has been declared drug-free during an awarding ceremony witnessed by different government agencies recently in Camp Olivas.
Col. Ponce Rogelio I. PeDones, Zambales police director, reported that Candelaria town is the first municipality in the province of Zambales to be cleared of illegal drugs.
He said all the 16 barangays of Candelaria were cleared against drug infestation after complying with the parameters set forth pursuant to Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No 3 series of 2017.
The awarding of the formal certification was held at the Regional Police Headquarters with top police led by Col PeDones and local officials witnessing the event.
The town and attended by Mayor Napoleon E Edquid.
