A STEPPED-UP anti-criminality drive in Cordillera region ordered by new Cordillera Police Regional Office director, Brigadier General R’win S. Pagkalinawan has led in dozens of arrest and seizures of shabu and marijuana since last week, the Journal Group learned yesterday.
Latest to be arrested were known Bangued, Abra drug dealer Randy Caliboso, a 32-year old carpenter who yielded shabu, 10 marked P1,000 bills and a caliber .38 revolver with one bullet during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cabuloan on Saturday morning.
Another identified as Jeffrey Buenafe, 29, a resident of Bgy. Talogtog in Candon City, Ilocos Sur who is wanted for murder was arrested by Abra and Ilocos Sur policemen in Sitio San Antonio, Bgy. Dumayco in Penarrubia, Abra at 8:40 a.m. Saturday.
“We’re fully complying with Philippine National Police chief, General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa’s priority programs on drugs, criminality and rogues in uniform and most particularly, the Chief, PNP’s no-take policy,” said the member of Philippine Military Academy ‘Maringal’ Class of 1988.
