A CASH incentive of P5,000 and 10 sacks (25 kgs) await each of 10 ‘early bird’ barangays which will post the list of beneficaries under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) in the second district of Batangas.
This was announced by former Presidential Anti-Graft Commissioner Atty. Nicasio Conti.
Conti revealed that the first 10 barangays in the second district of Batangas which will upload the list of SAP beneficiaries in their respective areas of jurisdiction on the webpage Batangas-Segundo Distrito wjll receive the cash and rice incentives.
The ‘early bird’ challenge is part of efforts to support Interior and Local Government Sec. Eduardo Ano’s call for the Department of Social Welfare and Development, local government units and barangay officials to be transparent in the distribution of the SAP cash aid to the beneficiaries.
“Dapat po ay maging patas ang pagbibigay ng ayuda sa mga tao sapagkat lahat naman ay apektado. Pero kung talagang hindi kayang mabigyan lahat ng ayuda ay dapat yung kwalipikado talaga ang nasa lista. Nanawagan po ako ng pagkaka-isa at pagdadamayan. Sumunod po tayo sa ating pamahalaan. Hindi po ito ang panahon ng pulitika o siraan. Tayo ay magtulungan upang malagpasan ang dinaranas na kahirapan sa kasalukuyan,” said Conti as he stressed that aid to the needy shouldn’t only come from the government.
Earlier, Conti donated P150,000 to the Municipality of San Pascual, Batangas, 75 sacks of rice to Tingloy and almost 20,000 kilos of rice to residents of the second district of Batangas including Lobo, Bauan, San Luis and Mavini.
He also donated eggs and grocery packs.
Conti is also pushing for Tulong Teresian wherein alumni and frontliners of Sta. Teresa College, Bauan, Batangas receive relief goods from him, being its alumni president. He has also urged the inclusion of senior citizens in the SAP cash akd.
The offer of cash and rice incentives is part of the #barangay challenge and #ilathala challenge launched by Conti.
