CENTRAL Luzon’s most wanted car thief is now in jail after he was arrested by agents of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3 in Bocaue, Bulacan, a report to Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group director Chief Superintendent Roberto B. Fajardo said yesterday.
RHPU3 chief Senior Supt. Kirby John B. Kraft identified the suspect as Ronald Roxas Parulan alias “Maxi,” a man wanted for violation of Republic Act 10883 or the new anti-carnapping act and robbery in Bulacan and other parts of Region 3.
Kraft said warrants of arrest for the suspect’s arrest were issued by Judge Maria Maruja Narvaiza-Mendoza of the Malolos City Regional Trial Court Branch 82 in Bulacan. A total of P420,000 in bail was recommended for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
According to the RHPU3 chief, members of the Bulacan Provincial Highway Patrol Team and the RHPU 3 Intelligence Division led by Chief Inspectors Michol Lava and Gilbert Mendoza III found the elusive suspect in Barangay Lolomboy in Bocaue following a tip from an informant early morning Thursday. The operation was made in coordination with the Bulacan Police Provincial Office.
Kraft said that the suspect was arrested while standing in front of the Lolomboy National High School.
“The suspect who is ranked no. 4 in the list of the regional most wanted persons of the PNP-HPG did not resist arrest after being surrounded by officers,” he said.
