Central Visayas cops collar 13 drug dealers

A STRING of anti-narcotics operations in Central Visayas launched by the local police last week resulted in the arrest of 13 known drug personalities including a 16-year old teenager and the seizure of some P1 million  worth of shabu, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas reported yesterday.

Last Thursday, Cebu City policemen led by Major Henrix Bancoleta arrested Jennyson Sabanal alias ‘Negro,’ a 40-year old resident of Villa Agbate Kinasangaan in Bgy. Pardo during a buy-bust operation which resulted in the confiscation of about 95 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ valued at nearly P650,000 and the boodle money topped by a marked P1,000 bill.

Sinas said that Cebu City policemen last Wednesday also arrested Reynaldo Ricarte,29; Ervic Navarro,38; Francis Abe Mordeno,40; and Mark Minosa,39, during a buy-bust peration in Sitio Zapanta in McArthur Boulevard in Barangay Tejero at 11:55 p.m.

Seized from the suspects were a total of five grams of shabu valued at P34,000, several drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.

In Lapu-Lapu City, police arrested Allan Cabucos,53; and his son Clifford,22, both residents of Logarta Street in Bgy. San Roque, Cebu City during a sting at the Old Terminal in Bgy. Pajo at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday which led in the recovery of three plastic sachets containing some 15 grams of  ‘cocaine’ worth P102,000 and the marked money paid to them by an undercover agent.
