CAMP Olivas, Pampanga -- Operatives under the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Office 3 (CIDG-R3) arrested four suspects of various crimes and confiscated two firearms from them the other day.
Senior Supt. Christopher Abrahano, acting CIFG-R3 chief, said the arrests and seizure of weapons were done via serving of court-issued warrants against the suspects.
In Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, CIDG operatives served a search warrant against one Mario Domingo, of legal age, who yielded a cal. .45 Shooters Commodore pistol with a magazine and six live ammunition.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearm and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Guimba Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Brigando Sandivar issued the warrant after the CIDG identified Domingo as one allegedly involved in gunrunning and member of the Inza-Cruz Criminal Group operating in Nueva Ecija.
In Malolos, Bulacan, CIDG operatives arrested one Armando de Guzman, 54, after serving a search warrant issued by Judge Olivia Escubio of Malolos City RTC Branch 79.
The suspect was arrested in Bgy. Guijo in San Jose Del Monte City after policemen found a 12-gauge improvised shotgun with two live ammunition.
The suspect is allegedly a member of the “Rodrigo-Chua Robbery Hold-up Group” operating in parts of Bulacan. He is facing charges for violation of RA 10591.
In Malolos City, CIDG operatives arrested one Rolando Camua, of legal age, who has pending case of rape before the Malolos RTC Branch 15, which issued a warrant for his arrest.
CIDG-R3 operatives in Zambales also arrested one Mark Joseph Castro, 26, in Lingayen, Pangasinan by virtue of a warrant for qualified theft issued by RTC Branch 70 of Iba.
