Operatives led by the Bulacan police arrested four suspected drug pushers and confiscated P11.5 million worth of shabu during two related anti-drug operations last Monday.
In a press conference yesterday, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Rhodel O. Sermonia identified the arrested suspects as Jonard Halili, 25; Erwin Borrinaga, 18; Mirko Francis Beringuel, 21; and Marlon Macarangal, 22.
Sermonia said that Halili is included in the drug watch list of the Meycauayan police.
Bulacan police operatives arrested Halili and Borrinaga in Barangay Pantoc, Meycauayan City after they sold illegal drugs to a poseur-buyer. When arrested and searched, the suspects yielded seven medium-sized and three larged-sized plastic wraps of shabu with a total weight of 1.5 kilograms which has a street value of P10.2 million.
Also seized from the duo were a digital weighing scale and the black Yamaha Nmax scooter they were riding.
After interrogating the suspects, Bulacan police operatives sought the assistance of the Manila Police District and Special Mayor’s reaction Team for a follow-up operation along Luneta Park Grandstand that resulted to the arrest of Beringuel and Macarangal, who sold shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Seized from the duo were one medium-sized and four large-sized sachets of shabu weighing 200 grams with a street value of P1.36 million. The Suzuki Gexxer motorcycle the suspects were riding.
