STEPPED-UP anti-criminality effort by the Bulacan Police Provincial Office over the weekend resulted in the capture of 46 wanted persons including the 5th most wanted man in Central Luzon, new Bulacan police director, Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe said yesterday.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Rhodel O. Sermonia, the official said that one of the suspects arrested is Joselito Santos, a man wanted for qualified rape and considered as among the Top 5 Most Wanted Persons of the PRO3.
Cajipe said members of the Bulacan Police Intelligence Branch arrested the suspect in Muntinlupa City.
The other suspects were arrested by Bulacan police tracker teams in a series of manhunt operations in the cities of Malolos, San Jose del Monte and Meycauayan and the municipalities of DoHa Remedios Trinidad, Marilao, San Ildefonso, Norzagaray, Angat, Bocaue, Marilao, Bulakan, Calumpit and Plaridel.
Cajipe said members of the Bulacan Criminal Investigation and Detection Group assisted them in arresting the suspects who were wanted for a string of criminal charges including robbery, theft, direct assault, murder, estafa, qualified theft, attempted homicide and violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
