Cotabato’s 2 most wanted jailed

POLICE Regional Office 12 director, Brigadier General Alfred S. Corpus, yesterday announced the capture of two of Cotabato province’s most wanted  persons during separate anti-crime operations this week.

In a report to Philippine National Police chief, General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa, the official identified the two as Larry Bala, a 45-year-old suspected member of the New People’s Army residing in Magpet, Cotabato and Arnold Misamen,40, of Alamada municipality.

Corpus said that Bala, the 6th most wanted person in Magpet, Cotabato where he is facing criminal charges for frustrated and attempted murder and theft was tracked down in his hiding place in Purok 1 in Barangay Noa around 8 a.m. Monday by the local police following a tip from a concerned citizen.

The Socksargen police director said that Bala is wanted for his involvement in an ambush on government troops along the provincial road in Bgy. Noa on June 12, 2015. He is now being held at the Magpet police lock-up facility.

On the other hand, Misamen, a top drug personality in Alamada was arrested in a buy-bust operation  conducted by the local police on Sunday in his neighborhood in Sitio Patil in Bgy. Bao.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, several drug paraphernalia and a marked P500 bill paid to him by the poseur. The suspect’s motorcycle was impounded by the local police.
