Couple nabbed for drugs in Kalinga

KALINGA -- A couple allegedly involved in drug activities were arrested at around 9:50 a.m. Thursday inside their store at Lacnog, Tabuk City, in this province.

Police Col. Davy Vicente M. Limmong, Kalinga Provincial Police Office director, identified the couple as Kenneth Cardenas, 34, farmer, and listed newly identified drug personality and Merlyn  Cardenas, 36, housewife, and listed as regional top ten illegal drugs personality (RTTIDP) both kalinga residents.

Col. Limmong said joint personnel of RDEU, and others units, implemented the search warrant issued by Judge Jerson E Angog, RTC Br. 25, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga for violation of RA 9165.

Confiscated from the suspects were is bottles (60 ml.) containing of alleged marijuana oil with a street value of P90,000, five small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystaline substance  believed to be shabu with a street value of P5,000 inside a case of a sun glass, half gallon containing alleged marijuana oil with a street value of P200,000 and one medium size tranparent plastic containing marijuana seed (250 grams) with a street value of P6,250.
