CAMP Olivas, Pampanga -- Two persons, including a 17-year-old, were arrested by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Region 3 operatives in separate operations in the province and nearby Nueva Ecija the other day.
This developed as a suspected member of a robbery group was arrested in Angeles City during a pursuit operation that resulted in the confiscation of a gun and ammunition.
Senior Supt. Christopher Abrahano, CIDG-R3 chief, said one of the suspects, identified as Rolando Pring, 59, was arrested by virtue of a court-issued arrest warrant in Bgy. Dau, Mabalacat City.
No bail was recommended for Pring’s release.
In Cabanatuan City, a 17-year-old young man was arrested after a court issued a warrant against him for statutory rape with recommended bail of P200,000.
In a subdivision in Barangay Margot, Angeles City, CIDG and city policemen were responding to a report on a robbery incident when they were able to arrest the suspect and seized gun and ammunition from him.
Senior Insp. Arvin Hosmillo, CIDG-Angeles head, identified the suspect as John Capilis Saley III, 32, who yielded a cal. .45 pistol loaded with eight live bullets.
Also confiscated from him were five cellphones reported to have been stolen.
Hosmillo said the suspect is a member of Pacobo Criminal Group engaged in robbery, stealing motorcycles and illegal drugs trading.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and robbery with force upon things will be filed against the suspect.
