Dangerous Drugs Board cites 3 schools in Mindanao

THE Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) has recognized three secondary schools in Mindanao for their outstanding anti-drug program for the youth.

In the awarding ceremony held at Richmonde Hotel in Ortigas City recently, the DDB rewarded Sto. Niño High School in South Cotabato with P50,000 cash for placing first. Agusan del Sur National High School went home with a P40,000 prize for placing second and the Bangcud National High School in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon with P30,000 as third placer.

DDB chairman Catalino Cuy lauded the implementers of the Search for Outstanding Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) as well as the efforts of the students, faculty members and school administrators in drug prevention in their respective schools and communities.

“Today, we honor the people, groups and institutions that have made drug abuse prevention their advocacies. I am extremely proud of all the educators, students and youth who are here today, who have made an impact in their institutions and communities, through living a healthy and drug-free lifestyle,” he said.
