A secret drug den in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi was smashed by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during a recent raid which also led in the arrest of six suspects, PDEA chair, Director General Aaron N. Aquino announced yesterday.
The official said that dismantled by members of the PDEA Regional Office 9 with the help of the local police was the drug dive in Barangay Pahut in Bongao where six suspects led by the suspected den operator identified as John Aukasa alias’ Jordan’ were arrested.
The others were Marvin Mustala, Haybatul Ammad, Jun-jun Aukasa and his brother Adzhar who were all described as ‘high-value’ drug targets.
Recovered from the suspects were 11 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money received by ‘Jordan.’
Aquino also bared the arrest of the no. 12 most wanted drug personality in Davao del Sur during a raid. He identified the suspect as Renante Villegas.
The PDEA chief said that Villegas was arrested inside his house in Bgy. Kapatagan in Digos City which was raided by PDEA Region 11 and local police operatives.
The raid led in the confiscation of about 10 grams of shabu worth P160,000.
All suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
