SAN JOSE CITY -- One of two suspected drug pushers was killed while the other one eluded arrest after figuring in a clash with anti-narcotics operatives, who conducted a buy-bust operation against them early morning yesterday.
Supt. Heryl L. Bruno, city police officer-in-charge identified the slain suspect as Dante Galvan, alias Darwin, of Bgy. Sto. Nino 2nd, this city, while his cohort’s name, who escaped was still being verified as of press time yesterday.
The operation was pulled off in Christianville Subd. in Bgy. Abar 1st at 2:30 a.m.
Bruno said the duo sold P500 worth of shabu contained in a plastic sachet to a police poseur-buyer when they sensed that their movements were being monitored.
Bruno said his men were about to arrest the suspects when one of them drew a gun, fired but missed. This enabled the lawmen to retaliate and hit Galvan while the other suspect was able to escape on board a black Yamaha Mio motorcycle.
Recovered at the crime scene were the slain suspect’s cal.38 revolver and four fired cal. 9mm bullet casings.
