Drunk man dives, drowns in Laguna lake

A 37-YEAR-OLD hollow block maker died after he drowned in one of the famous seven lakes last Saturday evening here  at Bgy. San Buenaventura, San Pablo City, Laguna.

San Pablo City police chief,PLT. Col. Elmer Bao, said identified the victim as  Michael Espinoza, of   Bgy. San Buenaventura, in this city.

The drowning incident transpired about 9 in the evening while the victim wasreportedly under the influence of liquor.

Based on the statement of Rosemarie Daliba, 32 ,  who witnessed the incident,her uncle was under the influence of liquor when he suddenly jumped into the water of MojicapLake.

The victim was found by his friend submerged under the water and was retrieved by a diver.

He was brought to SPC General Hospitalbut was declared dead by the attending physician.
