Drunk woman berates checkpoint cops, held

SAN JOSE CITY – A drunken woman who became arrogant during questioning by police authorities conducting enhanced community quarantine checkpoint here was immediately arrested when she berated the operatives manning said checkpoint shortly before midnight yesterday.

Nabbed was Maricel Walsiyen, 32, jobless, of Zone 8, Bgy. Kita-Kita, this city.  She was arrested at a police checkpoint along the San Jose-Lupao Road in Bgy. Sto. Niňo 3rd at 11:40 p.m.

Police Lt. Al V. Guillermo, checkpoint team leader said the suspect was stopped and questioned by his men in a courteous and polite manner about her identification and where she was going .

However, she replied arrogantly saying: “Lintik kayong mga pulis, abala kayo.”

​Guillermo said the suspect, who was noticeably under the influence of liquor, was subsequently arrested and brought to the police station for proper disposition.

​He said charges for violation of Article 151 (resistance and disobedience to a person in authority) of the Revised Penal Code and unjust vexation were filed against her before the city prosecutor’s office here.
