SAN Leonardo, Nueva Ecija -- Four unidentified bonnet-wearing armed men struck at a subdivision here and robbed a businessman at gunpoint of his cash and belongings totalling about P418,000 before fleeing with the loot consisting of four I-phone mobile phones, pieces of jewelry worth P200,000, P10,000 cash and the trader’s Glock cal. 40 pistol on Tuesday night.
Chief Insp. Ranny Casilla, town police head, identified the victim as Randy Corgos, 40, of North View Heights Subd., Bgy. Nieves, this town.
The heist was perpetrated at 8:40 p.m. by four bonnet-wearing armed men, with two of them, initially waiting outside at a dark portion of an adjacent vacant lot before poking a gun at him when he arrived and alighted from his car.
After holding the trader at gunpoint, Casilla said the suspects dragged him into the house and one by one they started to divest him of his belongings.
Carted away by the suspects were an Iphone X, an Iphone 7, an Iphone 6+ and Iphone 6, with estimated worth of P165,000, assorted jewelry worth P200,000, P10,000 cash, different passbooks of BDO, BPI, LandBank, Union Bank, CitiBank, various credit cards, the victim’s PRC ID and driver’s license and his Glock 22 cal. 40 pistol.
After review of a CCTV footage, Casilla said they discovered that the robbers entered the house through the side door and after the heist, they hurriedly fled towards Bgy. Nieves.
Casilla said they are still clueless about the identities of the robbers.
