WEATHER disturbance “Enteng” has strengthened into a tropical storm as it leaves the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services (PAGASA) yesterday said.
PAGASA said “Enteng” was last spotted 545 kms. east-northeast of Calayan, Cagayan or 445 kms. east-northeast of Basco, Batanes, with maximum winds of 65 kph. near the center and gustiness of about 80 kph.
The tropical storm is moving northward at a speed of 30 kph.
“Enteng” was expected to leave the PAR yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile, a low pressure area was spotted in Iba, Zambales or 235 kms. west of Subic Bay and the southwest monsoon or habagat enhanced by ” Enteng” will bring rains in Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, MIMAROPA, and Antique.
Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Visayas, and the rest of Ilocos region, will experience occasional rains.
