THREE members of a family on Sunday drowned in the waters of Dumaran Channel in Dumaran, Palawan.
The victims were identified as Lea Gabo, 33; her son Florence Andrie, 4; and Gabo’s 64-year-old father Florentino Lagrosa.
A report sent to Police Regional Office 4-B director Brig. Gen. Tomas Apolinario Jr. showed that the victims were on a motorized banca on way home to Bgy. Bacao from the nearby Bgy. Sta. Teresita when their vessel was hit by strong waves.
Gabo and her son fell down the sea and drowned.
Lagrosa likewise drowned when he attempted to save his drowning daughter and grandson.
The floating bodies of the three were recovered by a team of rescuers.
Three other fellow passengers of the victims were unharmed.
