SARIAYA, Quezon -- After hiding for three years, a man who was charged with raping his own daughter was finally arrested Friday afternoon in Bgy. Poblacion 6 here.
Quezon police director Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman said 40-year-old Roderick dela Torre, a construction worker, was the 6th most wanted man of San Francisco, Quezon.
Town police commander Supt. Rafael Torres said Dela Torre was arrested by a team led by SPO4 Roilan Algire based on a warrant issued by Judge Edilwasif T. Baddiri of Gumaca Regional Trial Court Branch 62.
No bail was recommended for the suspect’s temporary release.
Torres said the suspect was accused of raping his own daughter, who was 14 at the time.
“In her complaint, the victim accused the suspect of raping her three times on April 6, 2015,” Torres said.
Since the victim's mother was working abroad, Torres said it was the victim’s aunt who lodged the complaint against the suspect.
The suspect is now detained at the Custodial Facility of Sariaya police before being turned over to the San Francisco police.
