Firearms, shabu seized

AGENTS of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office past 2 p.m. yesterday seized a cache of firearms and shabu during a raid on a suspected big-time drug trafficker’s house in Plaridel municipality even as simultaneous anti-crime operations in the province since Monday led in the death of an armed drug dealer and the arrest of 61 others, local police director, Colonel Emma M. Libunao said.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Rhodel O. Sermonia, the official identified the suspect who was arrested in his residence at no. 307 Purok 3, Barangay Culianin in Plaridel as 34-year-old Israel Jake Buhain.

Libunao said that members of the Plaridel Station Drug Enforcement Team led by Lieutenant Col. Victorino B. Valdez searched the suspect’s house on the strength of a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013 issued by Judge Cristostomo Danguilan of the Bulacan, Bulacan Regional Trial Court Branch 21.
