ALAMINOS, Laguna -- A 14-year-old girl was killed and believed raped by unidentified suspects in a remote barangay here yesterday morning.
Senior Supt. Kirby John Brion Kraft, provincial police director, said his men are still tracking down the killers of the victim who was found naked.
Kraft said they are waiting for the result of the investigation of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) on how the victim, Zed (not her real name), Grade 9 student, was killed.
He said the victim was sent to buy something from a remote store earlier on Sunday night. Her parents started to worry when the girl had not returned.
The victim’s parents sought help from the barangay tanods to locate the victim, who was found dead in a grassy and forested area after hours of search.
Police believed the victim was assaulted on her way home by at least two persons.
Meanwhile in the town of Sta. Maria, an unidentified body of a man was found in a river at 9:10 a.m. Sunday.
Police said the victim was in a ‘prone’ position with his hands hogtied. She was in a state of decomposition.
