Guns, ammo seized

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- Intelligence operatives of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) seized the other day guns, magazines and ammunition from a man in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija who is subject of a court-issued search warrant.

In his report to PRO3 director Chief Supt. Joel Napoleon Coronel, Regional Intelligence Division-Special Concern Unit head Supt. Jay Dimaandal identified the arrested suspect as Salvador Gine, 61, resident of Barangay Bayanihan in Gapan City.

Found in the suspect’s residence were one cal. .45 Ultra Compact Pro pistol, one cal. .25 Titan pistol, 14 live ammunitions for cal. .45, 12 live ammunition for cal. .25, and three magazine assemblies.

The SCU operatives were assisted by elements of the Technical Support Company-Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 3, 300th Air Intelligence Security Wing- 301 Special Mission Group Field Station Northern Luzon of the Philippine Air Force and Gapan City policemen.

The arrested person was apprised of his constitutional rights and brought to this camp together with the confiscated pieces of evidence for documentation and proper disposition.

Confiscated firearms will be turned-over to Nueva Ecija Crime Laboratory Office for ballistic examination.

Dimaandal said that the search and seizure was done in an orderly and peaceful manner and was duly witnessed by the respondent and barangay officals in the place.
