HVT yields P1.2M shabu

ANGELES CITY – Police operatives arrested a high-value target (HVT) and confiscated from him some P1.2 million worth of shabu in Barangay Pulung Maragul here last Thursday evening.

Col. Joyce Patrick Sangalang, city police director, identified the suspect as Kenneth Ballesteros, 30, resident of the said barangay, who sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer.

The operation was jointly conducted by the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit and Police Station 4 after confirming reports that the suspect was actively selling shabu in the area.

Confiscated from Ballesteros’ possession were the one piece sachet of shabu that was subject of buy-bust, the marked peso bill, and a knot-tied plastic containing suspected shabu weighing 180 grams with estimated street value of P1,224,000.

Mandatory witnesses were requested for onsite inventory and marking of evidence in compliance to Sec. 21 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
