A most wanted person who was tagged as one of the prime suspects in the killing of a former mayor in Pulupandan, Negros Occidental in 2010 was killed in a police operation yesterday in Dingle, Iloilo.
The suspect was identified as Rammy Enojo, number 6 most wanted person in the provincial level.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said the incident occurred at around 5:30 am at Barangay Tambunak, Dingle, Iloilo.
Accordingly, police forces went to the area to serve warrant of arrest against the suspect but the latter resisted arrest and fought back, prompting the police to shoot him.
Enojo was among the suspects behind the killing of former Pulupandan, Negros Occidental Mayor Luis Mondia Jr. On February 17, 2010.
Aside from killing the mayor, the suspect was also involved in several gun-for-hire activities and robbery incidents involving the notorious Magno/ Matillano Criminal Gang in Iloilo.
