CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Combined of operatives from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA3) and Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) dismantled a kitchen-type shabu laboratory in Barangay Cawag in Subic, Zambales last Thursday.

In an initial report submitted to PDEA Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva, PDEA3 Regional Director Christian O. Frivaldo disclosed that operating teams recovered different types of suspected controlled precursors and substances used in the preparation of shabu and assorted laboratory equipment.

Supported by the Zambales police, the PDEA3 and PRO3 Intelligence Unit raided the laboratory in Cawag.

Frivaldo said one Joven Salvador alias “Venjo”, 36, caretaker of the building, was arrested by the authorities.

“Based on the initial assessment of PDEA3 laboratory section chief, the dismantled laboratory can produce at least a kilo of shabu per day,” Frivaldo added.

Confiscated pieces of evidence will be turned over to the PDEA3 Laboratory for qualitative examination.

A case for violation of section 6  for manufacturing of dangerous drugs and/or controlled precursors and essential chemicals will be filed against the suspect.
