ANGELES CITY -- Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and city police arrested a Korean national and two Filipinos who were caught in the act of sniffing shabu in Barangay Balibago, here over the weekend.
Reports reaching Sr. Supt. Christopher Abrahano, CIDG-Region 3 officer, identified the Korean man as Lee Je Gil, of legal age, and his companions as Arnel Ordonez and Rusty Aquino, both of legal age.
Investigation showed that a buy-bust operation was conducted against Ordonez, listed by the police as a drug personality and a member of the Sarip Criminal Gang engaged in drug dealing, along Santos St. in Barangay Balibago.
The operation resulted to the suspect’s arrest, along with Lee and Aquino who were caught in the middle of their pot session.
Operatives were able to seize one small sachet and six medium sachets of shabu, illegal drugs paraphernalia, and a cal. .38 revolver loaded with five live ammunition from Ordonez who is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 for possession and selling of illegal drugs and violation of RA 10591 for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
The seized shabu is estimated at P108,000.
Meanwhile, CIDG operatives in Tarlac arrested a septuagenarian and two other men for illegal gambling in Capas town.
The suspects, Elison Dizon, 71, Rowell Cortez, 36, and Richard Pascual, 40, were found playing “monte” table game and are facing charges for violation of the anti-illegal gambling law.
