Lucena cops arrest 2 for planting marijuana

LUCENA CITY -- Police operatives arrested  two male workers of a private farm for planting marijuana at Purok Sariling Atin, Bgy. Gulang- Gulang, here.

City police director, Supt. Reydante Ariza identified the nabbed suspects as Allan Omanga, 34 and Michael Lavarro, 21, both workers of FC Piggery and Feedmill Farm, situated at said village.

Ariza said the arrest was made following a report to the police by another worker in the farm disclosing that the suspects have been keeping several marijuana plants in a number of used buckets.

Upon their arrival at the farm, Ariza said the policemen were accompanied by the informer to the place where the plants were kept.

With that, he said the cops immediately arrested the suspects and charged them with violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002).
