A 26-YEAR-OLD woman and her two young children on Wednesday died in a fire that destroyed their house in Alfonso, Cavite.
SFOI Isagani Labis identified the fatalities as Lovely Demillio Jassem and her kids Rylai Lexi, 5; and 1-year-old Rijin Lex, of Bgy. Poblacion IV, Alfonso town.
Lovely was said to have been separated from her husband a month ago.
The victims were left in the house by Lovely’s mother who went a fiesta celebration in the nearby Bgy. Manggas.
The old woman allegedly told her daughter to cook eggs for lunch.
At past 12 p.m. on Wednesday neighbors saw a huge smoke coming from the Demillios residence.
The smoke alerted Ashely Rollon Demillio, the 15-year-old niece of Lovely, who hurriedly knocked on the door, which was locked, to alert the people inside the house.
Ashely continued on banging the door when a burning wood fell prompting her to retreat and ask help from their neighbors.
The neighbors sought the help of barangay officials who called the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The three victims were already dead when the firefighters arrived.
Personnel of the Scene of the Crime Office from the Cavite Provincial Crime Laboratory Tagaytay Satellite Office led by Chief Insp. Amer Magsumbol processed the crime scene and found from the debris the bodies of the victims.
