Man hauled to jail for posting sex videos of ex-GF

MEMBERS of the Police Regional Office 4-A Anti-Cyber Crime Unit arrested in Laguna a 36-year-old man for posting sex videos of her former girlfriend.

PRO4-A Anti-Cybercrime Unit head Supt Julius Suriben identified the suspect as Aries Fabrig, married, a resident of Bgy. Ilayang Palina, Liliw, Laguna.

Joint operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 4-A led by Chief Insp. Rey Viloria and the Biñan City Police arrested Fabrig in a house in Bgy. Canlalay, Biñan City. Laguna.

The police were armed with a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 9995 or The Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Sta. Cruz Laguna Regional Trial Court Judge Iluminado Dela Peña.

The 31-year-old former girlfriend of the suspect filed a complaint, saying Fabrig posted their sex videos on social media after she broke up with him after a year of illicit relationship.

Republic Act 9995 prohibits the unconsented taking of a photo or video of a person or group of persons engaged in a sexual act or any similar activity, or capturing an image of the private area of a person, under circumstances in which the said person has a reasonable expectation of privacy.

The court set a bail of P70,000 for the temporary liberty of the suspect.
