Man with P1.23-M worth of shabu held in Cabanatuan

City police head, Lt. Col. Arnel M. Dial, identified the arrested suspect as Rene Boy Rombawa, 35, of Bgy. Lourdes, this city.

He was collared following a buy-bust operation conducted in Purok Betes, Bgy. Lourdes at 4:10 p.m.

Dial said he was busted after selling two plastic sachets of shabu worth P1,000 to a police poseur-buyer.

Also seized from the suspect's possession were 11 plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated street value of P1.23-million.

Dial said the suspect also yielded a hand grenade, 54 pieces of live caliber 5.56 bullets and an item that contains powdered nitrates suspected to be grenade elements.

Dial said the successful operation came a day after the arrest of a woman and her two children during a buy-bust operation conducted at their house in Purok Cantarilla, Bgy. Valdefuente on Friday afternoon.

The three suspects, identified as Jocelyn Tadeo, 50, her daughter Jacqueline, 28, and son Jomar, 33, were caught in possession of over P1.1-million worth of shabu.
