TWO students were killed when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a Isuzu truck Friday night in Palawan.
This was confirmed yesterday by Police Colonel Aries Faltado, spokesman of Police Regional Office ( PRO) Mimaropa.
Faltado identified the fatalities as Niko Jusos Lapenis, 18, and Mark Dave Gregorio Llano, 20, both students and resident of Barangay Abarian, Roxas, Palawan.
Taken to Roxas Medicare Hospital was Jade Arzad Kolas Bernardo, 45, driver of the truck.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said the incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. along Sitio Palwood, Barangay 4, Roxas, Palawan with the victims onboard a Rusi Macho 125 motorcycle from Puerto Princesa.
The report said the driver of the motorcycle tried to overtake another vehicle but encroached on the opposite direction and collided with the Isuzu truck.
Due to the impact, the victims sustained severe injuries that caused their instant death.
The driver of the truck also sustained injuries.
