MUNTINLUPA City Police Station chief, Colonel Hermogenes Cabe yesterday passed away Saturday while under confinement at the Asian Medical Hospital due to a lingering illness, the Journal Group learned.
The bemedalled police official was admitted to the hospital at 11:30 a.m. last Wednesday after suffering from a mild stroke with liver cirrhosis complications. He was initially said to have been in a comatose condition when placed at the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Around 1 p.m. yesterday, his attending physicians said he suffered from heavy bleeding and expired. “It is not COVID-19-related and we are now assisting Col. Cabe’s wife and family,” said National Capital Region Police Office director, Major General Debold M. Sinas.
Sinas designated Southern Police District Deputy District Director for Operations, Colonel Allan Nobleza as Officer-in-Charge of the Muntinlupa City police force.
