SUSPECTED New People’s Army guerrillas barged into the house of a man they accused of being an Army informer in Bindoy, Negros Oriental early evening last Monday and dragged him outside where they killed him in a gangland-style execution, a Police Regional Office 7 report said yesterday.
Around 40 heavily-armed NPA rebels arrived at the house of Reynaldo Loqueloque in Sitio Abaka, Barangay Nalundan in Bindoy municipality at 7:45 p.m. Monday completely surprising the victim who was then watching television with his family.
At gunpoint, the suspects forcibly brought the victim outside his house and shot him in the head. PRO7 director, Chief Superintendent Debold M. Sinas said that the incident was reported to the Bindoy Municipal Police Station by a son of the victim at 6 a.m. last Tuesday.
Sinas said that the victim’s son told the local police that after killing his father, the gunmen shouted ‘Mabuhay ang Kilusan’ and introduced themselves as NPA members.
The younger Loqueloque also said that the guerrillas left an NPA flag at their place before dispersing.
The incident is still being investigated as of press time, said Sinas.
