OVER 100 felons were hauled to jail by agents of the Cavite Police Provincial Office in a series of anti-criminality operations last week, a report to Police Regional Office 4-A director, Brigadier General Vicente D. Danao Jr. said.
Eighty-six of the suspects were arrested during operations conducted across the province on Saturday and Sunday, said Cavite police director, Colonel Marlon R. Santos.
The official said that nine of the suspects were arrested in buy-bust operations which resulted in the confiscation of some P25,000 worth of shabu, marked money and several drug paraphernalia.
Another six were arrested on various criminal offenses including theft, qualified theft and estafa while 64 were held for engaging in different illegal gambling operations including ‘video-karera,’ the official said.
Santos said that also recovered during the operations were two caliber .38 revolvers, seven live .38 ammunition and an improvised 12-gauge shotgun with one bullet.
Cavite policemen also arrested 16 known drug personalities and seized nearly 26 grams of shabu worth nearly P176,000 during seven anti-narcotics operations in the province on Friday and early morning yesterday.
