P1.9M shabu seized in Angeles

ANGELES CITY – Some P1.9 million worth of shabu was confiscated by the police here in separate buy-bust operation in Barangays Pulung Maragul and San Nicolas over the weekend.

Col. Joyce Patrick Sangalang, city police director here, said a buy-bust operation at Sitio Airwolf in Barangay Pulung Maragul resulted to the arrest of Eduardo Mercado, 39, and Abegail Archangel, 29.

Confiscated from the two were several sachets of shabu weighing 175 grams with Dangerous Drugs Board value of P1,900,000.

Also seized from the suspects were the P1,000 marked money used in the police operation and a small sachet of shabu, the subject of the buy-bust.

Along Valdez St. in Barangay San Nicolas, policemen arrested Marco Torres, 25, who is listed in the police drug list, and Flora Dela Pena, 23.

The suspects were arrested after they sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer.

Confiscated from them were seven grams of shabu with DDB value of P47,600.

Mandatory witnesses were requested for onsite inventory and marking of evidence in compliance to Sec. 21 of Republic Act 9165.

The suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to police station  for documentation and disposition.
