TWO separate anti-narcotics operations in Bohol province on Sunday resulted in the arrest of five suspected big-time drug personalities and the seizure of at least six kilograms of high-grade shabu worth over P40 million, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Albert Ignatius D. Ferro announced yesterday.
In a report to Philippine National Police chief, General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa, the Central Visayas police director said four of the suspects identified as Lelit Dajao,44, Chelloma Pescura,32, Junalyn Matura,32; and Humprey Cenabre,34, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Antipolo, Barangay Dampas in Tagbilaran City which led in the confiscation of about two kilos of shabu worth P13.7 million.
Ferro said undercover officers of the PRO7 Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and several other groups were involved in the entrapment operation which was conducted at 5:45 p.m. Sunday.
He said recovered from the suspects were three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing at least 15 grams and Chinese tea bags each containing a kilo of the dangerous drugs.
A record check showed Dajao is a resident of Bgy. Tanghaligue in Talibon municipality while Pescura is from Bgy. Cawayan in Inabanga town. Matura is from Bgy. Bingag in Dauis municipality while Cenabre, a tour bus driver is a resident of Bgy. Liloan Norte, also in Inabanga.
Ferro said another buy-bust operation in Purok 2, Bgy. Tanghaligue in Talibon municipality conducted at 6:15 p.m. Sunday resulted in the arrest of Jaime Dajao, a 44-year old local resident after he sold shabu to a poseur.
The suspect, described as a ‘high-value target’ in Central Visayas, yielded four Chinese tea bags each containing a kilo of suspected shabu. The recovered drugs were valued at P27.2 million.
