P7M shabu seized, 7 held in Zamboanga

TWO separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City this week led to the arrest of 5 big-time drug traffickers in Western Mindanao and the seizure of nearly P7 million worth of shabu, Police Regional Office 9 director Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis D. Licup announced yesterday.

The first operation  conducted around 11:30 a.m. on Friday inside Room 146 of La Terraza Pension Haus in Governor Camins, Canelar, Zamboanga City resulted in the arrest of Merlyn Sarahddil Aliasman,28, a housewife  and Isa Hawari Munap, 28, both residents of Bgy. Lubigan in the city and  Joel Hernando,31, a truckman from Upper Calarian.

Seized from them were 11 plastic sachets of shabu worth at least P3.4 million, two mobile phones and marked money.

The two other suspects, identified as Manjannag Ahadani Umbang, 50, of Bgy.Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City, and Junjun Barlie,25, of Bgy. Lamion in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, were arrested by members of PRO9 and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency  under Director General Aaron N. Aquino in front of the 3J Novelty Products and Accessories Store in Radja Sulaiman Street, Bgy. Zone 4  around 4 p.m. Monday,

Recovered from them were P3.4 million worth of shabu, boodle money and a cell phone.
