PNP-AKG, PNPA CLASS 1997 members lead Cavite relief drive

BUYING food and other basic goods out of their own pockets, officers of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group and the PNP Academy Class 1997 yesterday led a massive relief operation in Indang, Cavite which benefited at least 500 families in the area affected by quarantine protocols triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

PNP-AKG director, Brigadier General Jonnel C. Estomo said they launched the relief operation in partnership with members of PNPA Class 1997 to help poor residents of Sitio Quarry and Thunderbird Chocolate Farm in Barangay Bangcod in Indang municipality.

“This is a continuing project in support of PNP chief, General Archie Francisco Gamboa’s ‘Kapwa Ko Sagot Ko’ program and the Team PNP Bayanihan Fund Challenge aimed at helping the ‘poorest of the poor’ in the country thru voluntary contributions,” said Estomo.

PNPA Class 1997 members, Colonels Dominc Baccay, Romano Cardino and Garry Garen and PNP-AKG Luzon Field Unit head, Lieutenant Col. Villaflor Bannawagan led their Class’ own fund-drive to raise money to help the Indang residents.
