PHILIPPINE National Police chief, General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa has ordered his men to fully facilitate and secure the distribution of the 2nd tranche of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) cash subsidy to their intended beneficiaries nationwide.
“We are in constant touch with the DSWD and the AFP with whom we are collaborating to map out systems and procedures utilizing resources and personnel of the military and police to reach out to all SAP beneficiaries in the barangay,” said PNP spokesman, Brigadier Gen. Bernard M. Banac.
In compliance with President Duterte’s instructions, police and military troops are helping the DSWD distribute the social amelioration aid in order and prevent threats posed by lawless elements including the New People’s Army which has attacked some government personnel involved in the program to help the ‘poorest of the poor’ affected by the COVID-19 virus.
